 Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA) is the leading trade association representing the material handling and logistics industry - the Industry that makes the supply chain work. MHIA members include material handling and logistics equipment and systems manufacturers, integrators, consultants, publishers, and third party logistics providers. Member companies come from all areas of material handling and various parts of the world, making MHIA a strong national and international representative for the material handling industry. Much of the work of the industry is done within its product-specific sections, councils and affiliates. The association also sponsors trade events, such as ProMat and NA 2008 to showcase the products and services of its member companies and to educate industry professionals on the productivity solutions provided through material handling and logistics.

MHIA’s mission is to create a greater understanding between business and Industry of the solutions offered through material handling & logistics. MHIA’s member companies are industry leaders in providing solutions that make the supply chain work. Active members are manufacturers of industrial material handling and logistics equipment, systems and software or user-specified components for such equipment. They market their products in the United States. Associate membership is held by business publications, consultants and systems simulators. Through MHIA, member companies are given a greater voice in shaping the destiny of the industry both nationally and internationally.
