 For storing a large quantity of pallets in a small space, nothing can beat drive-in or drive-thru racks. Often referred to as high-density storage racks, these systems are able to pack in huge quantities of pallets due to a rather ingenieous design. Rails are places into a framework of uprights and your forklift operator will actually drive directly into the racking to store and retrieve pallets. This gives you several advantages including but not limited to: space savings, energy savings (with less air to heat, your energy bills go down) and a more skilled forklift fleet (your drivers will need to master maneuvering in tight spaces).
